  • Services are invoiced upon completion of the work and subject to a signed service report upon satisfactory completion; unless this is not returned within 3 working days. In which case, an invoice will be raised in the services are deemed complete.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be specified at checkout or in your invoice.
  • All prices are in your transaction currency of choice [GBP (£)/EUR (€)/USD ($)] and exclude VAT (TAX 20%) unless stated otherwise.
  • Proforma Payment terms mean payment must be made in full before goods are ordered and dispatched unless otherwise agreed on your initial signed order or a different payment term agreed upon.

6. Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed.
  • Risk passes to you upon delivery or if non-UK sale based on incoterm declared on your order confirmation.
  • You are responsible for any import duties or taxes outside the UK.

  • Failure of suppliers, subcontractors, or carriers

If a Force Majeure event occurs:

  1. Notification: We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
  2. Suspension: Our obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event.
  3. Mitigation: We will take reasonable steps to minimize the impact and resume performance as soon as possible.
  4. Termination: If the event continues for more than 60 days, either party may terminate the affected order or contract by written notice, without liability (except for obligations already incurred).

Returns Policy

1. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If goods are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement.

2. Change of Mind (Cooling-Off Period)

  • If you purchase as a consumer (not a business), you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason.
  • To exercise this right, notify us in writing (email or contact form) within 14 days of delivery.
  • You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and in a resalable condition.
  • Some items are excluded from this right (see Section 6).

3. Returns Process

To return an item:

  1. Contact us with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and instructions.
  3. Pack the item securely, including all original packaging, manuals, and accessories.
  4. Return the item to the address provided, quoting your RMA.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
  • If you are returning an item due to a change of mind, you are responsible for return shipping costs.

5. Refunds & Exchanges

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability. If an exchange is not possible, a refund will be issued.

6. Exclusions

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Custom-made or personalised items
  • Perishable goods (e.g., reagents with expiry dates)
  • Items that have been opened, used, or are not in a resalable condition
  • Sealed items (e.g., sterile equipment) that have been unsealed after delivery
  • Service line items

7. Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us within 7 days if any item is faulty or damaged.
  • We may require photographic evidence of the damage or fault.
  • We will arrange for collection or provide instructions for return at our expense.

8. Business Customers (B2B)

  • Returns for business customers are at our discretion unless goods are faulty or not as described.
  • Please contact your account manager or our customer service team to discuss any issues.

9. Cancellation Policy

  • For excluded items that cannot be resold, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 100% of your unreceived items.
  • If a service engineer attends an agreed upon site visit and cannot perform the work remit, we reserve the right to invoice in full or partial for our time and expense spent at our discretion. Another quote, order and invoice for a return visit would have to be re-arranged.

Warranty Policy

1. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related UK/EU legislation. All goods supplied must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose.

2. Standard Warranty

  • Coverage: All products supplied by A-I Bioprocessing Limited are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 9 months from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Scope: This warranty covers repair or replacement (at our discretion) of defective products. If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund may be offered.
  • Start Date: The warranty period begins on the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, neglect, accident, or unauthorised modification/repair.
  • Consumable items (e.g., filters, reagents) or parts subject to normal wear and tear.
  • Products used outside their intended application or specification.
  • Products with removed or altered serial numbers or identification labels.
  • Custom-made or personalised items, unless faulty on delivery.
  • Service line items.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

To make a claim:

  1. Notify us in writing within the warranty period to reject the goods or services provided, providing proof of purchase, product details, and a description of the defect.
  2. We may request additional information or evidence (e.g., photos, batch/serial numbers).
  3. If required, return the product to us following our instructions. Do not return goods without prior authorisation.
  4. We will inspect the product and, if the claim is valid, arrange repair, replacement, or refund.

5. Return Shipping

  • If the product is found to be defective under warranty, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
  • If the product is not found to be defective or is outside warranty, you are responsible for all shipping costs.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from use of the product, except as required by law.

7. Extended or Manufacturer Warranties
